Happy thoughts

Russell Brand - funny and intelligent. odd looking and comfortable with himself.
"I bet it was a robot church for androids, where their bible was in binary and their Jesus had laser eyes and metal claws." - from My Booky Wook. Read it!
Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry Vanilla- my own personal brand of heroin. (Also very good with some rum!) Why, I ask you, is it only available in the states? WHY?!?!?
Cadbury Mini-Eggs - my own personal brand of heroin #2. (Only available during Easter (thanks be to Allah!) or I'd be as big as a house.)
Batman - self explanatory.
Bentley - he's my dog. unconditional love at it's finest! (See photo.)
Naps - best way to spend free time in my opinion.
Books - second best way to spend free time, although if you are reading with your time, you're not really free to do other things. perhaps it should be 'Time for Reading', not free time. Hmmm.
The Shins - good for when you're angry or frustrated and need to calm yourself. good for when you are happy and need to sing a song really loudly while driving your car. good for when you can't sleep. sweet lullaby. :)
Bubble Baths - relaxation at it's finest. best when shared reading a book on a cold day.

That is all I have for today. Hopefully this list will make you think of your own happy thoughts.
Have a great Friday and here's hoping you have the weekend to relax, unwind and be mellow.

I bought a heated electric blanket for my s-dad yesterday. He LOVES it. Good to know that little things can make someone's day. No more cold toes.
I'm thinking everyone I know is in dire need of a vacation. 'Spring break' was created for a reason. I think someone should make it a mandatory holiday. Get away, clean out the dust, breathe in the fresh air, and let go of stresses. Spring is great. No longer so cold you feel like staying undercover all day, and not yet so hot that you can actually feel your skin tighten with the sunshine. I like Fall too. Again with it being cooler than the crazy days of summer, it's a nice lead up to winter frozen fingers and noses. Although where I live, we are lucky to get a week of actual fall weather.
Back to the stress thing. How does someone deal with stress? I know of many supposed stress relievers. Sex, exercise, eating, laughing, ignoring it altogether until one explodes.....
If anyone has any other ideas, would be good to share.

MTV vs. snob

I have not had the honor of watching the interview of Dan Levy calling Kristen Stewart a Bitch.
Although I have seen many other tv appearances and interviews of his, so I'm going to say if he said it, it was deserved. Welcome to Canada. The land of only taking so much shit before we tell you how it is!
I sincerely hope Dan doesn't get into too much hot water over it. He said what many others have written about. (See Laineygossip.com) He just had his comments caught on tape and blazed across the internet and tv. We need more people like him on the air in my opinion.
I don't watch news, listen to the radio or read the papers. These publications are telling the masses what they are told by editors to say. For ratings, circulation etc.
The only time I get any source of worldly information is when I'm home in time to catch The Hour with George Stroumboulopoulos. He's another example of telling it how it is, not how he's told to say it.
In these times we need more news outlets doing the same.

Wednesday

If my boss were to dye his skin green, he'd look like the grinch when stressed. Has a habit of using his hands to wrinkle up his face....

Vampire lovers. I get it. I like the books too, but i wouldn't wear a shirt asking someone to bite me.
I have a team edward shirt. I admit. I was sucked into the twi-hard mania at the beginning as much as the next girl, but holy crap marketing! It's like KISS in the 70's! pj's, lunchboxes, pencil cases?
Yowza!
Makes you wonder if it's the fictional characters everyone is involved with, or the actors who play them. In 25 years when they remake the movies, will it again be the craze it is now?
A friend tells me that the current vampire/zombie love phenomenon is due to the political unrest and global market downfall. He believes that, since the last time these topics were so popular was in the 60's-70's, when Vietnam was occurring and people needed an escape from reality.
I've always read horror/fantasy so I assumed everyone else was just finally catching on to what I knew already.

First Blog

Morning, and Happy St. Patrick's Day.
I forgot to wear green. Forgot all about it really until I was reminded when I got to work.
Ever wonder if you've forgotten something else? Like how to live? What you wanted? Who you wanted to be?
I'm finding myself being tired a lot. Too much work, and not enough to show for it. Rarely venturing out in a social capacity.
Is this a depression?
I haven't had a reason to go out in awhile. Should I make my own reason?
So many thoughts, so little time really.
Make the most of it, some say.
Make the most of what exactly? I ask.
