'Tis Christmastime.
The onslaught of crappy Christmas songs is upon us.
Gets one thinking of what songs they can hear over and over again without wanting to blow their eardrums out on purpose.
Kenny and Dolly - Once upon a Christmas
Gordon Lightfoot - Song for a winters night (Technically not a Christmas song, but gets you in the spirit)
But...
my all time favourite:

JK+8 insanity

I cannot get over how many people are talking about this show.
So here is my take....

Does anyone else think there is a possibility that they are staging the divorce for ratings? I wonder if there is a contract amendment for a bonus depending on how high the ratings go....
Possibility of reconsiliation? Another renewal of the vows....
$$$$

10 years from now, when 6 of the 8 kids are through rehab and slowly resembling the life of Danny Bonaduce, I wonder if anyone will think that maybe, just maybe growing up on TV is a bad thing.

Life can be embarrassing enough without millions of veiwers each week.

Somewhere

Watching Fringe the other night got me to thinking about alternate realities.
Remember that episode of Buffy where she gets stug by the demon and thinks she's in a hospital suffering from Schizophrenia, instead of being a slayer of the Vampire?

Deja Vu, dreaming, hunches....
No hard proof of any reason to have any.
Could these be a way of letting us know that this isn't all there is?

Because let's face it.
Sometimes, we need to believe there is something better out there.....

Tuesday

I get a text message this morning from someone I haven't even thought of in 3 months. Amazing how this one person reaching out makes me feel good. All warm and fuzzy. Kind of lonesome too. Hopefully a weekend away with my sisters will rejuvenate my spirit. Bath and Body Works - Here I come!

Food for thought

There is much that is unexplained.....
until it is.

Happy thoughts

Russell Brand - funny and intelligent. odd looking and comfortable with himself.
"I bet it was a robot church for androids, where their bible was in binary and their Jesus had laser eyes and metal claws." - from My Booky Wook. Read it!
Diet Dr. Pepper Cherry Vanilla- my own personal brand of heroin. (Also very good with some rum!) Why, I ask you, is it only available in the states? WHY?!?!?
Cadbury Mini-Eggs - my own personal brand of heroin #2. (Only available during Easter (thanks be to Allah!) or I'd be as big as a house.)
Batman - self explanatory.
Bentley - he's my dog. unconditional love at it's finest! (See photo.)
Naps - best way to spend free time in my opinion.
Books - second best way to spend free time, although if you are reading with your time, you're not really free to do other things. perhaps it should be 'Time for Reading', not free time. Hmmm.
The Shins - good for when you're angry or frustrated and need to calm yourself. good for when you are happy and need to sing a song really loudly while driving your car. good for when you can't sleep. sweet lullaby. :)
Bubble Baths - relaxation at it's finest. best when shared reading a book on a cold day.

That is all I have for today. Hopefully this list will make you think of your own happy thoughts.
Have a great Friday and here's hoping you have the weekend to relax, unwind and be mellow.

I bought a heated electric blanket for my s-dad yesterday. He LOVES it. Good to know that little things can make someone's day. No more cold toes.
I'm thinking everyone I know is in dire need of a vacation. 'Spring break' was created for a reason. I think someone should make it a mandatory holiday. Get away, clean out the dust, breathe in the fresh air, and let go of stresses. Spring is great. No longer so cold you feel like staying undercover all day, and not yet so hot that you can actually feel your skin tighten with the sunshine. I like Fall too. Again with it being cooler than the crazy days of summer, it's a nice lead up to winter frozen fingers and noses. Although where I live, we are lucky to get a week of actual fall weather.
Back to the stress thing. How does someone deal with stress? I know of many supposed stress relievers. Sex, exercise, eating, laughing, ignoring it altogether until one explodes.....
If anyone has any other ideas, would be good to share.
